Buckswood Education, Adventure and Travel program (BEAT) Eswatini
The Foundation helps to promote students, adult groups and individuals who seek to travel to Eswatinin and experience life in the kingdom. With BEAT we have created a very successful programme, where guests who are accommodated at Hilltops are offered many opportunities to experience the culture and scenery of this unique African country throughout their stay. Programmes are designed according to the length of stay and the specific areas of interest of our guests. We also help organise gap year placements within schools and hospitals.
The most important part of the experience is to understand, first-hand – rather than through social media or the lens of a camera – what it’s like to live and work in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
We can organise visits to:
- A local rural homestead
- A rural school
- A local orphanage
- The local game park
- Various golf courses
- The local fishing lakes
- The local market places
- Swazi Trials
And so much more!
Our local staff are here to help. If your visit is purely one of leisure we can certainly help you to relax. On the other hand, if your program is to gain an understanding of the culture and needs of the community, then the Foundation staff can help you realise these objectives. If you care to gift it can be facilitated without appearing intrusive and without it being seen as ‘charity’, by those who might need that extra help.
